Status Go: Ep. 183 – Measuring Performance – Cybersecurity

In IT we measure lots of things, tickets, response time, uptime, the list goes on and on. How do you know you are measuring what matters? In this two-part series we explore how to identify the metrics that matter and how they can help drive performance.

In Part II, we take the lessons we learned in Part I and visit with Adam Scamihorn, a Product Director at InterVision. Adam takes us through benchmarking your cybersecurity program. Why it is important to measure your program, how do you identify the measurements that matter, and what are the corollaries between the technical and mental measurements we discussed in Part I.

Previously, in Part I, we took a foray into the world of professional sports by talking with retired golfer, Allison Duncan. Allison breaks down her game into technical measurements and mental measurements and how she learned to focus on what she can control.

Adam Scamihorn has been an innovator and leader in the Disaster Recovery Space for the last decade. While responding to the increasing demand of disaster declarations related to ransomware and Cyber Attack on businesses; he sought to solve the need for a more comprehensive approach to how DR Teams end downtime caused by a breach. In 2022 Adam lead the launch of the only Ransomware Protection as a Service (RPaaS) offering, providing a framework to meet an organization where they are today and build a path that provides actual assurance to end downtime. Currently Adam is the Product Director for Business Continuity products and services at InterVision.
