Cloud Journey | A Focus on the Client Experience

While we know a shift to the cloud is becoming an inevitability for most companies, there are varying reasons why organizations make the change.  In the case of Moneytree, they were acquired and it was mandated they be on the same platform as their parent company.  Patrick Spencer, Managing Director of Moneytree, takes us through their cloud journey with a unique perspective, having once been on the sales side of cloud services.  While Pat sits down with Jeff Ton and shares all of the details from team impact to lessons learned to challenges overcome, the stand out change was the shift in their processes; most notably the natural shift of their internal communication toward the client experience and the client’s usage of the solution.

Pat Spencer is Managing Director for Moneytree, a software development company with 40 years’ experience in developing useful financial planning solutions. Moneytree works collaboratively with thousands of advisors across the country helping them confidently manage the financial journey of their clients. Moneytree was acquired by Accutech Systems Corporation (Muncie, IN) in 2019. Accutech has over 34 years’ experience building innovative trust and wealth management solutions and provides exceptional personalized service to over 250 banks and wealth management companies nationwide.

Pat started his career in banking where he spent over a decade in retail, commercial and private banking. With a passion for technology, Pat began selling technology to banks and credit unions and continued to grow his expertise with SaaS, IaaS and DRaaS solutions for the next 20 years. It was that combination of industry and technical expertise that led him to take the executive role at Moneytree.
