Status Go: The Shifting Healthcare Model

In this episode of Status Go, we welcome, Curt Kwak, CIO of Proliance Surgeons.  Like everyone, the scope of the COVID-19 pandemic didn’t fully sink in for Curt Kwak and his team until it was upon them, and being in Seattle, they were some of the first hit in a very real way.  In his conversation with Jeff Ton, Curt tells us how his team triaged and prioritized to keep the organization up and running, how they kept from ever losing communication and continued to uphold their commitment to their community.  Moving forward, while healthcare can never be something that becomes totally virtual, Curt outlines the way the model is shifting and how they are making that happen.

As the Chief Information Officer for Proliance Surgeons, Curt Kwak oversees all technology implementation and maintenance necessary to meet the business requirements of the 80+ Care Center locations within the Proliance Surgeons enterprise.  Previously, Curt was the Chief Information Officer at the Washington Health Benefit Exchange and prior to that, at Providence Health & Services, WA region.  Curt’s organization was responsible for all IT systems and components for patient care, business delivery and strategic development.
