With a rich history extending back more than a century, the customer is a full-service wealth management firm that provides brokerage and financial advisory services for clientele in over 70 office locations across the nation.
The Vision and Challenge
With COVID-19’s spread still early in the news cycle, the firm recognized a nationwide impact was imminent. They wanted to secure remote access for their employees before this impact arrived in full force.
The firm had already implemented a digital transformation initiative that included SD-WAN and a unified communications solution for phones and chat functionality for their offices, but they needed a new VPN solution to complete the security and compliance requirements for a fully remote workforce. Since their technology ecosystem already leveraged Cisco, they wanted a solution that would allow for up to 1,500 Cisco AnyConnect connections.
The Outcome
The firm had engaged InterVision in the past for their digital transformation initiative and we had developed a trusted partnership for their IT needs, so they knew right away to call us. InterVision’s depth of expertise in remote workforce enablement made us a good fit for their project’s objective.
We worked closely with the organization’s IT team to provision a new VPN with Cisco’s AnyConnect that not only connected employees to their IT systems remotely, but also emphasized the necessary security and compliance standards they needed. We also dialed up their Internet bandwidth to 500Mb in our datacenters to cater to the increased demand remote workers would bring. The result was a strengthened partnership and increased agility during the COVID-19 crisis.
